We’re seeking a mission-driven and inquisitive Environmental Engineer (or a professional from a related environmental science field) with a background in either data analysis or environmental law and regulation. This role is perfect for someone passionate about identifying environmental violations and building innovative tools to expose them at scale. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Environmental Engineer or in a related environmental science field.
- 2+ Years of experience with GIS.
- Fluent English (spoken & written).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Advantages:
- Experience working on air\ water\ soil contamination cases
- Knowledge in SQL or other programming language (such as Python, Java, or similar).
- Solid understanding of environmental law and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with environmental assessment and modeling tools
- Experience in designing data platforms, data pipelines, or complex data architectures
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in Darrow’s analysis core team - combining tech research, data gathering and analysis, and support legal research.
- Act as a subject matter expert on environmental data and regulations to guide legal strategy and case development
- Manage, integrate, and maintain large environmental datasets
- Collaborate with legal and technical teams to design and build data-driven tools leveraging code and GIS to uncover environmental violations at scale
- Provide technical insights and analytical support to legal teams during case assessment
- Continuously improve internal tools and workflows for greater efficiency
